In this video it starts with a young girl and a elderly man on the elevator. The young girl pulls out her phone and begins to play music out loud. The old man looked disturbed, then pulled out his phone and started playing his music out loud also. A third person gets on the elevator and noticed the two playing their music out loud then started playing her music too. The video skips a few scenes then come back to the elevator and now there is more people on the playing their different types of music out loud on their cell phones. Then another guy gets on the elevator with a huge radio to his ear. He noticed everyone else playing their music out loud, then plugs some earphones to his radio and listens to his music through his earphones. Everyone noticed what he did and stopped their music and smiled at each other. Then the video ends.
The message I took from this video was treat other with respect and you'll get the same in return. When the first girl started playing her music aloud, the older man looked like he took it as disrespect so he treated her the same way by playing his music louder than hers. As each person entered the elevator they did the same. Once the last guy got on the elevator and noticed everyone playing their music, he could of easily played his music louder than everyone else's because he had a radio. But he didn't he just plugged earphones in and listened to his music that way. Once everyone else noticed what he did, they got the message and silenced their music out of respect for each other. Then they all smiled at one another as an apology to each other.
I think the author's purpose was to give a message to treat others how you want to be treated. I think the authors intended audience is everyone in the world today. The reason why I think the intended audience is everyone because the author used actors of all ages in this video. If the author wanted to give this message to a certain audience, then he would of used a certain group of actors to play the roles. Example if the author's intended audience was for young people, then all the actors would of been young men and women.

My top ten songs that represent my life are more than likely all hip hop/rap songs. This is my favorite genre, I like R&B also but R&B probably won't make my top ten list. Song number one would "Basketball" by Bow Wow, which was a remake of an old school rapper named Curtis Blow who originally made the song. Curtis Blow's song was way before my time but Bow Wow's remake came out around the time I first started to play the game of basketball. That is why I brought this song up, because now every time I hear it, it reminds me of how I started playing the game I love today. My second song would be "Dear Mama" by Tupac, this is a song before my time also but is still a popular song and one of Tupac's best. The song is basically a letter to his mother explaining what she meant to him and how she is the reason for who he became. I can relate to this song because my mother means the world to me and she responsible for shaping me who I am today. My third song is sort of a connection to my second song because it kind of has the same meaning in a way. The song is by Drake and is called "Look what you've done". This song is basically about Drake talking to his parents saying look what you've done, look who you made me to be. Again I can relate to this because both my parents have raised me to become the young man that I am today, and some of the points Drake bring up in this song, I can connect to my life. Song number four would be a song called "The Return of Simba" by J. Cole. The title obviously comes from the movie The Lion King, which was my second favorite movie growing up (after Space Jam lol). The Lion King was one of J. Cole's favorite movies too which is why he named the song after it. Just the title of the song caught my attention and made me want to listen to it, but then once I heard it, it became one of my favorite songs at the time. Song number five is a song called "Dream Chaser" by a rapper named Meek Mill. This song is motivational song about working hard to reach your goals in life. This song came out at the perfect time. It was my senior year of high school and school and basketball was stressing me out. When I heard this song, it gave me all the motivation I needed to keep my head up and keep pushing! My sixth song comes from Meek Mill again and is called "Dreams and Nightmares". This song came out a few years ago and still to this day gets my hype and fired up. I listen to this song before almost every basketball game I have and play it while I'm working out also. My seventh song is from Lil Wayne called "God Bless America". This is a deep song from Lil Wayne talking about the problems we face in the world today and how messed up our society is. I like realistic songs like this because the problems we face in society that he mentioned are real ones that need to be fixed. Song number eight is called "99 problems" by Jay Z. In this song Jay Z talks about how he has all these problems he deals with but out of all those problems a female isn't one of them. I was younger when this song came out but once I finally understood the meaning of the song, I started to live by it. I can have a ton of problems with school, bball, or other stuff stressing me out but I should never allow a girl to stress me at all. Song number nine is a collaboration between Drake, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross and is called "No New Friends". This song is basically about sticking with the same group of friends who were with you from day one through all the struggle and success. Even though the song says no new friends, that doesn't mean that I don't want no friends and I'm not open to meeting new people, but its just a reminder to never forget the ones you started with. Last but not least my tenth song is by Lil Wayne again who I forgot to mention was my favorite rapper of all time. The song is called "Best Rapper Alive" and Lil Wayne basically states that he's the best rapper and why he is the best rapper. I listed this song because I agree, Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive and my favorite of all time!!!!

When doing research on Edgar Allan Poe, reading on how he grew up and his life, made sense on why most of his stories he has written are dark and twisted stories. Well at least the three short stories we have read in class were dark and twisted. Poe had a few family deaths in his life time of family members he was close with. With death being kind of a big part of his life explains some of the parts and themes of his writings. For example in The Tell-Tale Heart the story was based on the narrator plotting on killing an old man that lived his apartment building. Throughout the story there were a lot of weird and dark things going on and through the narrators head that'll make the reader stop and think who would think of and write a story like this. Also, another example of Poe writing about some type of dark twisted things was in his story The Black Cat. The narrator of this story violently mistreated his pets and even his wife. Eventually the narrator dies which once again goes back to Poe having some type of death one of his stories. I'm not saying that Poe is the only writer who has deaths in his story, there are plenty of writes who do. Poe is just a writer who writes about deaths constantly along with other dark, weird things which leads us to believe he grew up with a dark mind. I also noticed in The Black Cat that the narrator gets married at a young age, which I connected to Poe getting married to his young thirteen year old cousin, in which I learned while doing research on Poe.

I woke up in jail one morning and was confused with no idea on why or how I got there. As I pace back and forth in my cell trying to think why I was in jail, I search my pockets and find five items. In my pockets I find; my wallet, car keys, cell phone, a star burst, and my gym membership card. As I examine each item in my pocket, slowly my memory on what happened the night before came back to me. My wallet, car keys, and cell phone are everyday things that I keep in my pocket everywhere I go. The star burst candy and gym card is what brought back my memory on what happened that night. The candy was in my pocket because I can remember eating a pack of star burst on my way to the gym to play basketball. That also explains why I had my gym card with me so that I can get into the gym to play. It was just a normal night of playing basketball, like me and my friends always do. It was going real well and we were just about done playing for the night. I can remember there was one guy I didn't know who was playing, and he was causing a lot of trouble while we were playing. He was making hard fouls, talking trash, and just playing dirty. I had the ball up top, made a move and drove down the middle where I met up with the guy who was causing problems. I attempted to make a lay up over him and when I was airborne he purposely pushed me out the air. I hit the ground hard, landing right on back and hopped up quick angry at the dirty play just made. Me and the other guy got into a slight pushing scuffle but was quickly broken up by others. That little scuffle ended the game and everyone started packing up getting ready to leave. I got all my stuff on and headed out the door. Once I got to the parking lot I seen the guy I got into a confrontation with, and he approached me. We began fighting and slowly I blacked out. When I blacked out I couldn't tell you what happened after that because I can't remember. Next thing I know I woke up in here, in jail.
